RISD To-Your-Door
RISD To-Your-Door is a service for RISD I.D. holders which provides transportation from designated RISD campus buildings to a rider’s residence within the To-Your-Door coverage area.
This service is available to RISD students, faculty and staff who live within the To-Your Door coverage area. RISD community members who reside beyond the designated service boundaries are not eligible to use To-Your-Door and will not be dropped off at the boundary.

What is To-Your-Door?
RISD To-Your-Door arranges rides only from designated RISD campus buildings to a rider’s residence within the To-Your-Door coverage area between the hours of midnight and 3:30 a.m. Route #1 departs from Mason CIT making a stop at 2 College Street. Route #2 departs from BEB making a stop at 2 College Street.
Schedule
RISD To-Your-Door service operates daily from midnight to 3:30 a.m. This schedule may vary around vacation breaks and at the beginning and end of the semester. Check the safeRIDE web site or the RISD intranet for the schedule at these times.
Guests
You may bring one non-RISD guest with you under the following conditions:
- You must be a RISD student, faculty, or staff member with a valid RISD I.D.
- The guest must present a valid photo I.D., which will be checked and logged by the safeRIDE driver.
- Transportation for you and your guest will be provided only to your residence.
- You must accompany your guest and your guest will only be dropped off with you at your destination. Additional stops will not be made to drop off a guest at a different location.
Policies
- Present your ID card when boarding the vehicles. This is to ensure the safety of both our drivers and our riders.
- You are required by Rhode Island law to wear a seat belt when the safeRIDE vehicle is in motion.
- If you damage the shuttle vehicle, you will be billed for the repairs.
- No pets.
- No smoking.
- No alcohol (in open or closed containers)
- You may bring one guest with you who does not have a RISD I.D., however your guest may not ride without you. You are responsible for your guest’s behavior while riding the shuttle.
- You have the right to be driven in a safe manner and to be treated with courtesy and respect.
- You have the obligation to treat safeRIDE employees with courtesy and respect.
- safeRIDE reserves the right to deny transport to any passenger if, in the judgment of the driver, the passenger’s behavior is a danger to the vehicle, the driver, or other passengers.
By using the To-Your-Door service, you agree to abide by these policies. Those who violate them will be denied service.
