Summer@Brown: Life on Campus

Pre-College Programs at Brown University

What’s life really like in the Ivy League? As a pre-college student, you’ll find out. Summer@Brown is a true residential college experience - you’ll live and study like a college student, and learn to balance an active campus life, full of academic, social, and co-curricular activities.

Students enrolled in Summer Session Credit Courses take two classes, and study side-by-side with Brown undergraduates.

Students enrolled in Pre-College Courses take 3-hour classes that meet in the morning or afternoon.

Housing

Supervision

A team of carefully selected and trained Residence Directors (RDs) and Residential Advisors (RAs) live in the residence halls. These skilled and caring live-in professionals and Brown undergraduates help students balance the competing demands of academic and social life. Summer@Brown staff will support and guide you through the campus resource system.

Outside of the Classroom

There is much to do outside of the classroom. Students take advantage of a wide range of co-curricular activities including the College Success Series - workshops designed to help Summer@Brown students network, explore college choices, and better understand the admission process at selective colleges all over the United States. Other activities include The Brown Speaker Series, Annual College Fair, and daily social activities.

Like a typical undergraduate experience, Summer@Brown offers numerous activities and events. Students are responsible for managing their time and level of involvement.
