Intensive English Language in the Globalized World
The IEP immerses students in English language and American academic life. Students live on the Brown University campus with other pre-college students from the United States and around the world. While at Brown, students participate in the activities and events of the Summer@Brown program. Students in this program live in Brown residence halls and take their meals in campus dining facilities with other pre-college students from America and all over the world.
A Typical Day
Monday – Friday
9:00 am - 11:50 am
English Language Skills Classes: speaking, writing, listening and reading.
11:50 am - 12:40 pm
Lunch is served in one of Brown's dining halls
12:45pm - 3:35pm
Afternoon Classes
4pm - 5pm
iBT TOEFL Preparation course (optional)
Evenings and Weekends
A Summer@Brown experience goes far beyond the classroom. Outside of class, you will make friends, attend events and social activities on campus, and have time for summer fun. Preparing for college continues with Summer@Brown’s extensive events and activities calendar - including workshops and presentations designed to better prepare you for the transition to college-level academics.
