Summer@Brown's Scholar Athlete Program will challenge your mind, hone your athletic skills, and let you experience first-hand what to expect as a student-athlete at a selective university.

Students need not have advanced skills in the sport aspect of the Scholar Athlete Program. If you participate in a sport, enjoy it, and wish to improve, you will enjoy our program - coaches expect a wide range of experience in each of the sports. Using sport as the vehicle for academic investigation, students select a complimenting one-week academic course.

Please register for a course and sport simultaneously using the CRN codes indicated below.

The one week summer tennis program is designed to help high school students experience what it is like to be a student-athlete at a world class university.  Daily routines include college style drills for both singles and doubles, and competitive point and match play.  There will be daily discussions on strategy, fitness, and the college recruiting process. Students should bring a 32oz or larger, unbreakable bottle of water (ex. Nalgene bottle) to their tennis lesson every day.

Swimming

The one-week summer swimming program is designed to help high school students gain an in-depth understanding of what a Division I student-athlete may experience at a world class university. Daily routines involve water workouts, dryland training, question and answer sessions, nutrition and recruiting lectures, facility tours and more. Swimming workouts are tailored to individual abilities and backgrounds, while emphasizing proper technique and sound conditioning.
