Please complete and submit the Application documents by March 16, 2009 (Deadline Extended - Space Still Available) .

You will be notified of acceptance after the application deadline. Please DO NOT purchase airline tickets until you receive an email confirmation and reminder to attend the Visa information session.

All students studying in Italy who do not hold an Italian passport must obtain a student visa. To expedite this process, Brown will submit a single application for all students to the Italian Consulate. To apply for a Student Visa, please submit the following documents as a packet by April 1, 2009:

Visa requirements

  • Visa Application Form (see Instructions)
  • Original Passport – signed and valid for at least 3 months following the end of your stay in Italy (Keep a copy for your records)
  • One copy of the inside photo page of your passport
  • Two official passport photos
  • Copy of your paid travel itinerary showing the exact dates of entry and exit from Italy
  • Copy of your green card or I-20 and F-1 visa (for non-US citizens)
  • One set of copies of all the forms and documents as listed above

Program Orientation* - March 16th at 3:00P.M.  Location: SCS conference room
We will go over necessary paperwork to obtain your student visa.  Please bring the following items:

  • Copy of the signature and photo page of your passport
  • Your passport (valid through October 2009)
  • 2 passport photos
  • Copy of your paid travel itinerary

* all Orientations are mandatory
