Commencement 2005

On May 29, 2005 the ceremonial Van Wickle Gates opened outward for the graduates' symbolic march into the world beyond Brown. After two weeks of rainy, cold weather the skies cleared for a sunny, warm Commencement/Reunion weekend.

Highlights of the weekend included the family-friendly Alumni Field Day, the traditional baccalaureate service in the First Baptist Church in America, the 41st annual Pops concert featuring special guest performer Lisa Loeb '90, the conferring of ten honorary degrees, and of course the traditional commencement procession and ceremonies.

VIDEO

DVD or VHS highlights of Commencement weekend are available to Brown University graduates and their families from Collegiate Video. The video is approximately two hours long and includes favorite campus landmarks and music.
