1) Make sure your encoding settings are correct. Open the iTunes options from the top menu and Select Preferences.
2) From the General tab, select "Import Settings", next to the CD action drop down (in the box in the image below). Change the "Import Using" option to MP3 Encoder. Make sure the "Setting" option is set to "High Quality (160kbps)".
3. Open the audio in iTunes.
4. Right click (PC) or control-click (MAC) on your file. Select "Create MP3 Version".
5. A new entry will appear below your original file. Right click it and select "Show in finder".
6. Your newly prepared file will have the extension "mp3".
7. Assign the appropriate metadata to your file. Once done upload on Brown on iTunes U

3. Open the audio in iTunes.
4. Right click on your file. Select "Create AAC Version".
5. A new entry will appear below your original file. Right click it and select "Show in finder".
6. Your newly prepared file will have the extension "m4a".
7. Assign the appropriate metadata to your file. Once done upload on Brown on iTunes U.
