If you want to have a blog on your site, there isn't a whole lot to do, other than to request it from webpublishing<at>brown.edu.  The blog software we have set up is MovableType and it comes to you for free.  So please don't try to set up Blogger or anything else for your site, because you won't be able to.  Simply request one for your site and you'll be all set.

With that being said, please only request one if there is a definite need.  If you are unsure as to what a blog is or whether it is something that you'll want on your site, please go to something like Blogger or Blogspot and try it out there.  They offer free accounts and you can use those all you want.
