Brown Summer High School offers its participants mental excitement

The Brown Summer High School program, held June 30-July 25, gives high school students the opportunity to challenge their minds in a series of wide-ranging courses.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- For the 29th year, Brown University is offering high school students the opportunity to challenge their minds and stretch their abilities at the Brown Summer High School (BSHS) June 30-July 25.

Participants enroll in two of the following courses:

Courses are taught by teams of students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Teaching and Undergraduate Teacher Education Program at Brown. Teams are led by mentor teachers from local schools. A clinical professor of education supervises and collaborates with each team.

Students entering grades 9-12 this September may apply. Enrollment is limited to 300. Classes are held Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m.-noon. The cost is $75 per student for books and materials. A limited amount of financial aid is available.
