Medical School to brief Rep. Kennedy about bioterrorism Nov. 12

On Monday, Nov. 12, the Brown Medical School will host a roundtable of experts to brief Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy on bioterrorism preparedness in Rhode Island. The briefing is by invitation only, but all participants will be available to speak with reporters afterward, at approximately 10:30 a.m. The briefing will take place in the main conference room, Saunders Inn, 101 Thayer St., on the Brown campus.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — On Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, the Brown Medical School will host a roundtable of experts to brief Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy on bioterrorism preparedness in Rhode Island. Reporters are invited to speak with participants when the meeting adjourns at approximately 10:30 a.m. in the main conference room, Saunders Inn, 101 Thayer St.

Donald J. Marsh, M.D., dean of medicine and biological sciences, Terrie Wetle, associate dean of medicine for public health and public policy, and experts from the Brown Medical School, local agencies and health care organizations will examine the ability of local health care professionals and systems to respond to a bioterrorism attack.
