Wolfram lecture rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22

The lecture by physicist Stephen Wolfram has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, in MacMillan Hall.


PROVIDENCE, R.I. — An Oct. 22 lecture by physicist Stephen Wolfram has been re-scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Starr Auditorium, MacMillan Hall, 167 Thayer St. The lecture had been originally announced for 4 p.m.

Wolfram, the creator of Mathematica and CEO of Wolfram Research Inc., will discuss his book, A New Kind of Science. The New York Times has called Wolfram “the man who would shake up science.”

Wolfram will sign copies of his book prior to the lecture, beginning at 5 p.m.
