Independent Review Committee to resume public meetings Sept. 9

The fourth public interview session conducted by the Independent Review Committee will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in the main lounge of the Gregorian Quadrangle, 101 Thayer St. on the Brown University campus.


PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Independent Review Commission appointed by Gov. Donald L. Carcieri to study the July 14 incident at the Narragansett Smoke Shop in Charlestown will hold another public session at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in the Gregorian Quadrangle main lounge (101 Thayer St.)

Persons appearing before the committee Tuesday will include:

  • Lt. Rodney Champlin, acting chief of the Narragansett Tribal Police;
  • Gail Caruso, a Warwick resident who was a customer and witness of the incident;
  • Dan Piccoli, a Warwick resident who was a customer and witness of the incident.

Other speakers may be scheduled as available. A multbox will be available for broadcast reporters.
