Rafe Judkins ’05 says his years at Brown taught him about living within a strong-willed, diverse community and helped him come in third on Survivor. More directly relevant to Survivor was Judkins' participation in Brown's Outdoor Leadership Training Program, which runs group wilderness trips.

Changes at Brown explained tonight
Brown University officials will be available at a public meeting tonight to discuss campus construction and expansion plans and parking and traffic pattern details as part of a review of Brown's Master Plan. The meeting is from 5 to 7 in the Vartan Gregorian Lounge at 101 Thayer St.

More research urged on nanoparticle risk
"These issues are being discussed openly," said Agnes Kane, a pathologist at Brown University, who is moving into nanotechnology after extensive work researching asbestos. She is one of several Brown professors sharing a $1.8 million, four-year grant to study the effects of nanoparticles on human and animal cells.
