Adenoid cystic carcinoma

Adenoid cystic changes can be seen in ductal carcinoma but adenoid cystic carcinoma, as

illustrated here, is rare. The histological pattern can be cribriform, as here, solid, or tubular.

The appearance is the same in breast as in the salivary glands, a more common site.
