High Performance Engin 9/101

Official lecture times are:  Tues and Thurs 2:30 pm-3:50 pm. Both sections are in room 141 Barus and Holley.

Course Web Pages: http://www.engin.brown.edu/courses/en9/spring  best to access by going to:  http://webct.brown.edu and clicking syllabus.

Note: The course is taught through the use of cases and case notes; current articles (chosen by you from NY Times Online if relevant to the cases at hand) and the book, "Built to Last**". The syllabus below indicates the case, notes, and reading assignments to be discussed in each lecture and section. Use the online interactive case notes and questions, additional homework materials and glossary in preparing in advance of class for the assigned case. It is advisable to print out and bring to class. Built to Last is an easy read and gives a larger context to the cases and companies we will study. Just focus on the big ideas which we will link to the classes. Check the website often as it is where all announcements and changes will be posted. The syllabus and other course notes should be accessed by going to http://webct.brown.edu.
