EN0266 - Physics and Technology of Semiconductor Heterostructures

Covers, largely from an experimental point of view, topics of current interest in semiconductor heterostructure physics and technology; magentotransport in two-dimensional electron gas; integer and fractional quantum Hall effects; resonant tunneling and superlattice transport; optical and transport properties of quantum wires and dots; heterostructure-based devices; other topics of student interest. Prerequisites: PH141 or equivalent quantum mechanics, EN159 or introductory device course helpful but not required.
