A great falcon swooped down to the unconscious Pinocchio and cut him free from the Great Oak Tree. Minutes later, a large carriage drawn by a Poodle named Medoro carried Pinocchio's limp, wooden body back to the very house he was turned away from just hours ago.
The young girl Pinocchio saw through the window was now a beautiful young woman. She took the puppet in her arms and laid him on her bed. She quickly summoned three fine doctors: an Owl, a Raven, and the Talking Cricket. The Blue Fairy took pity on the puppet. She had a good heart and truly cared for the well-being of this wooden boy.
The doctors only contradict one another, but amongst the arguments, Pinocchio wakes from his slumber, opens his eyes, and then closes them quickly, only to begin crying silently.
The Good Fairy, seeing Pinocchio back to his senses, offers him sugar to swallow some medicine with. She exclaims, "Drink it! And in a few days, you'll be better." Pinocchio looked at the medicine and recoiled in distaste. The Fairy asks, "Aren't you afraid of dying?"
Pinocchio responds, "Not in the least afraid. Better to die than drink that terrible medicine."
Will Pinocchio Drink or Refuse the medicine?
