FRANCO FIDO: "Charles S. Singleton."

Abstract: Charles Singleton's critical approach was founded upon two basic principles. First, Dante dramatizes but never invents doctrine; this doctrine is wholly expounded, with minor variants, in the Christian theology elaborated by Church Fathers such as Albertus Magnus and Thomas Aquinas. Second, today, we have not only forgotten such a doctrine, but have lost the reflex and the model that it implied.
