The image of the Elephant,
seen at the top-right of each
page is a reconstruction of one of the many columns in the Temple. While
no column was found complete, we were able to reconstruct the column by
combining elements from more than one column.
In the 1999 Season,
our first complete Elephant was found. (pictured to the right. Although
much of the plaster has disappeared, we have learned that the trunk is
much larger than previously expected.
2000, our first complete
Elephant headed capital was found.
