Ian B: Kom el-Dikka is a archeological site in Alexandria which was first dug at by the British School in Athens in the early 19th century but the dig yielded no significant finds. The site was reopened by the Polish in the 1960's and the site is still active to this day. During the Cold War the site was used by the Eastern bloc to smuggle arms into Egypt. The site inculdes Roman baths and a theatre in addition to Roman domestic quarters.
