Sabrina Ergun: People who believed in Nestorianism, a Christian doctrine written by Nestorius, the Patriarch of Constantinople (428-431). It emphasizes the difference between the human and the divine aspects of Jesus, saying in essence that Christ’s humanity and his divinity are separate entities. The most significant opponent of Nestorianism was the prominent church leader, Cyril of Alexandria.
