The Coptic Museum, Cairo. This state museum holds Egypt's collections of Coptic antiquities. It was inaugurated in 1910, but built in a very similar style to the Fatimid Mosque of al-Aqmar, with Christian symbols replacing Muslim one. It thus fits in with its location in Old Cairo within the walls of the fortress of Babylon. It is situated to many of the oldest and most famous Coptic churches in Egypt, including the Hanging Church.
