In 1991 Dr. Anandarajah worked in rural North Carolina as an ER physician and part-time in a private family practice in Durham, North Carolina. From 1992 to July 1995 she worked primarily at Family Health Services, which is a community health center with offices in Cranston and Coventry, Rhode Island. During that time, she worked with residents as a preceptor in the Family Care Center and as an attending physician on the Family Medicine service. She was medical director of Family Health Services from March 1994 through July 1995. She assumed the position of team leader in the Family Care Center in July 1995 and currently is very involved with resident education and patient care.
