Dr. d'Amato joined Rhode Island Hospital from Buffalo Children's Hospital in 1991. He was a Sports Medicine Fellow and Consultant for the National Ballet of Canada, and did a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He received his B.A. from Temple University and received his degree in medicine from Hahnemann Medical College. His research has included pediatric spinal fixation and the development of a new spinal bracing program.
