Christopher W. Digiovanni, M.D.
Dr. Digiovanni graduated from Dartmouth College and the Brown-Dartmouth Program in Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency and an additional year of general musculoskeletal trauma at Brown University. He then pursued another year of advanced fellowship training in joint replacement/hip and knee reconstruction at The Hospital for Special Surgery - Cornell and arthroscopy/sports medicine of the foot and ankle at Harbor-UCLA and USC affiliated hospitals, followed by a year of complex foot and ankle reconstruction at Harborview Medical Center-University Washington, Seattle. Dr. Digiovanni has returned to Rhode Island to start a foot and ankle service for the Department of Surgery, and has research interests in total ankle replacement, limb salvage surgery, minimally invasive arthroscopy, and various new soft tissue balancing procedures designed to protect the foot and ankle long term. He is author of numerous book chapters and review articles involving orthopaedic treatment of the lower extremity, and has lectured nationally on many orthopaedic disorders.
