Dr. Marcotte, a pediatric neuropsychologist and child clinical psychologist, joined the faculty in September 1989. Upon completion of her clinical psychology internship at Brown University in 1986, she was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Sparks Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She teaches in the pediatric rotations of the Family Medicine residency and is involved in intern and post-doctoral training in neuropsychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Her primary research interests are in neuropsychological correlates of neurodevelopmental disorders, movement disorders in childhood, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and pediatric sleep disorders.
