Robert M. Shalvoy, M.D.

Robert M. Shalvoy, M.D., is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in sports medicine. After completing an orthopaedic surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center, he trained in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia.

Dr. Shalvoy treats athletes injured on the field and off, and he also cares for their families. His areas of special interest include throwing injuries and athletic injuries of the knee. Dr. Shalvoy uses medical, surgical and rehabilitation techniques to ensure a prompt, thorough recovery.

Dr. Shalvoy is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America, through which he teaches arthroscopic surgery nationwide. Dr. Shalvoy is affiliated with numerous high chool, collegiate and professional athletic teams. Team inquiries are welcome.
