Richard Terek, M.D.

Musculoskeletal Oncology

Before joining our staff, Dr. Terek was an Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tufts University. Dr. Terek received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, his M.A. at the University of Chicago, and his M.D. in from the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago. He did both his Internship and Orthopaedic Residency at Loyola University. During his residency, he did a research rotation at the National Institutes of Health studying the molecular biology of fracture healing. His post-graduate training included a 2-year fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and a Metabolic Bone Disease Fellowship from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Dr. Terek 's clinical practice is devoted to musculoskeletal oncology and adult reconstruction. In his extramurally funded laboratory, studies on molecular genetic research on chondrosarcoma are underway.
