  Research Summary:

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Rhode Island Hospital is the major academic department of medical imaging at Brown University School of Medicine and has two fixed MR imaging units: 1.5T Siemens Vision and 0.2T Siemens Open magnets. Prospective and retrospective clinical research is conducted in collaboration with other clinical departments at this tertiary care hospital. Research is funded by clinical funds and by industry grants. Clinical research is supported by a full-time research assistant and statistician. All research is closely supervised by a physician-researcher and all projects are intended for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
