Dr. Weiss received his B.A. in Human Biology and Engineering Physics, Doctorate of Medicine, internship and residency from Johns Hopkins in Maryland. He completed his Hand Surgery Fellowship with Dr. Strickland at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis. Dr. Weiss is also the Director of the Hand and Microvascular Surgery Research Laboratory. His research ranges from the effect TGF-Beta in extremity reperfusion injury to collagen typing in carpal tunnel syndrome. He is Elective Course Leader and lecturer for the Supporting Structures Section at Brown. Dr. Weiss has authored over 75 publications and three books. He lectures internationally on clinical and experimental topics related to hand surgery and has been honored with the prestigious North American and ABC Exchange Traveling Fellowship Award.
