Notes: Chapter 188, “De las letras de Mexico y la manera de contar”, contains a paragraph discussing Nahuatl hieroglyphics and phonetics, followed by several paragraphs of Nahuatl vocabulary, including numerals 1-20 and calendrical terms (some of which are animal names and other common nouns) for months, days, weeks, and years (leaves xcvi [verso]-xcvii [verso]). In this edition, the vocabulary and Spanish equivalents are incorporated into the body of type rather than set in list form, and the section “Cuenta de los años” is wrongly headed “Cuenta de los niños” (leaf xcvii recto). Set in black letter type.
