As given, title corresponds to abbé Brasseur de Bourbourg’s “transcription” as found on the ms. title page he created for this work, no other copy of which appears to exist. However, in his Bibliothèque mexico-guatémalienne, Brasseur de Bourbourg gives fourth word in title as: Kalahiçabal; Medina cites the latter form. Imprint statement from Brasseur de Bourbourg predicated on Arévalo having been the printer who in 1753 devised special font symbols for Cakchikel phonemes that do not exist in European languages.
JCB copy lacking title page; deteriorated and excessively trimmed with portions of text missing.
