Notes: "Lista der wilden Nationen in Canada mit ihren üblichen Sprachen", p. 363-368, lists the various tribes in Acadia, in the areas of Montreal and Québec City, Hudson's Bay and in the "southerly lands of Canada" and the languages they speak. "Anhang eines Wörter-Buchs von der Wilden Sprache," p. 563-590, gives an exposition of the Huron (Wyandot) and Algonquian languages as the most important in Canada, followed by a selection of vocabulary in the Wyandot and Algonquian languages. Double page title printed across the center fold. Virgules replaced by commas in title page transcription. A translation and abbreviated edition of the author's Nouveaux voyages de Mr. le baron de Lahontan dans l'Amerique Septentrionale, first printed The Hague, 1703. Narrative of the first part is in the form of 25 letters. Folded map with title "General-Carte von Canada" bound to face p. 1, 2nd count.
