“Es esta lengua propria, y nativa de cinco naciones muy numerosas, que son Tonocoté, Lule, Ysistiné, Toquistiné, y Oristiné; sola la primera tiene hoy mas de cinquenta mil almas y todas Infieles, que viven en lo interior del Chaco sobre las riberas del rio Pilcomayo” (p. [39]). General remarks on the language are followed by grammatical study in Spanish with Lule examples (p. 39-108), concluding with a list of kinship terms in Lule with Spanish equivalents (p. 108-112). Followed by “Vocabulario de la lengua tonocoté y lulé (p. [113]-207), listing over 2000 terms in Spanish with Lule or Tonocote equivalents; for verbs, both indicative and imperative forms in Lule are given next to each Spanish infinitive. Also contains "Catecismo, y doctrina christiana en lengua lule, y Tonocoté" in Lule with Spanish headings (p. [209]-218) and a bilingual catechism (p. 218-221). Appendices (p. [223]-361) include a 1733 Spanish devotional text by Machoni, notes on his life, “Apuntes sobre los Indios Lules”, and “Documentos” in Latin.
