Notes: Title page and Praefatio in Latin; table of contents (leaves [XI]-XIV) and grammar (p. [1]-330) in Spanish with Guarani examples. The “Arte” proper (p. 1-114) is followed by a "Supplemento" (p. [115]-214) consisting of: appendices (p. 1-116), with additional grammatical material; and "Particulas de la lengua guarani" (p. [215]-327), which lists several hundred Guarani terms alphabetically with Spanish glosses as well as examples of usage. Concludes with “Apendize a los adverbios” (p. 327-330). First published, S. Maria de Mayor [Paraguay], 1724. P. [1] bears the same data as the title page of the 1724 edition: “Arte de la lengua guarani por el P. Antonio Ruiz de Montoya... con los escolios, anotaciones y apendices del P. Paulo Restivo... Sacados de los papeles del P. Simon Bandini y de otros”. Edited by C.F. Seybold. The S. Maria la Mayor [Paraguay], 1724, edition and this 1892 edition both differ substantially in arrangement and contents from the Madrid, 1640, and the Vienna and Paris, 1876 editions.
