Notes: Ms. codex. Manuscript devotional manual written chiefly in the Tarascan of Mexico, but with section headings and some text in Spanish. Text in black ink, variously lettered or cursive, with some headings and initials in red ink. Additional material written later into the blank leaves at the front and back of the book; first page has heading: Alavado. Title page (p. [4]) dated at Tarexero, Mayo, 10 de 1853.Title transcribed from leaf 4 recto of manuscript.

First 3 leaves are unnumbered and begin with caption title "Alavado" and seem to be a table of contents and several oraciones plus an "oremus" in Latin on verso of leaf [3], 1st count. These leaves may be bound out of sequence in manuscript.
