Notes: The author gives an account of Nicolas Durand de Villegagnon's colony in Brazil and the Tupi Indians who inhabited the country.
"Colloquium in ipso aditu Brasiliensis orae inter indigenas Tououpinambaultios Tououpinenkin Brasilicè ac Latinè conscriptum", p. 271-297, contains numerous phrases in the Tupi language translated into the Latin language, a discussion of grammar with examples, and a comparative glossary of words in Tupi and Latin. There are also numerous words and phrases in the Tupi language scattered throughout the text.
Includes musical notations with words in the Tupi language on p. 219-220.
