Notes: Main text in Tarascan / Purepecha, printed in double columns of Gothic type, consists of sermons and “dialogues” upon the Ten Commandments, the seven cardinal sins, and the works of mercy (leaves 2-113). Preliminaries in Spanish, except for Latin dedication which is in Roman type. Latin phrases within text, including Biblical quotations, in italic type. Leaf 113v ends with: “Explicitum est opus secundi tomi Doctrinalis fidei. Et sequitur dialogus naturalium impressionum”; the following meteorological treatise (leaves 114-139) is also in dialogue form. Concludes with table of contents (leaves 140-142r).
