Notes: Contains 2 brief vocabularies of the “Language of the Arctic Highlanders” (p. 122-123) living in a geographically isolated mountainous region in the north-east corner of Baffin’s Bay, extending south from Cape Robertson. “A comparative list of the northern and southern Eskimaux language” lists 13 nouns in English with equivalents in northern and southern Eskimo languages, in 3 columns; “Words the same in both dialects” lists 2 dozen terms, primarily nouns, in 2 columns; includes numbers 1-5.
