Notes: Two volumes in one of sermons in Spanish and Cuzco Quechua, printed in parallel columns. Extensive prelimary matter by Avila and several others, including Pedro de Villagomez, Miguel de Aguirre, Iuan de Arguinao, and Andres Garcia de Çurita, primarily in Spanish with some Latin. Scattered throughout are “some words in Central Highland Pervuian Quechua and therefore Chinchaysuyu or Quechua together with their Southern Peruvian equivalents” (Hamerly). Avila states that he devoted the years from 1596 to 1646 to sermonizing and converting the indigenous inhabitants of Cuzco [“Provincia de Huarocheri” ?? (p. [39] )
