Anonymous manuscript account of the passion of Jesus Christ in the Tarascan language. 18th-century date of composition suggested by Nicolás León who described it as "Ecritura confusa. Ms. inédito" and arranged for its binding with another Tarascan manuscript. Text composed in brown ink. John Carter Brown Library copy bound as 1st item of 2 with: [Via crucis en lengua tarasca] by José Juan Aparicio Maya, [Tarejero, Michoacán de Ocampo, Mexico, between 1838 and 1853]. John Carter Brown Library copy imperfect: text is much faded and water stained; leaves 1-9 are mutilated and torn in upper right hand corner, affecting text and leaves 1-4 are mutilated and torn at foot of text block, also affecting text.
