Notes: Ms. codex. Title from caption on p. [1], v. 1. Date of publication of 1559 can be conjectured from the author's publication of Vocabulario en lengua de Mechuacan, in Mexico City, 1559. Consists of two volumes of sermons in the Tarascan language and other religious texts, in several hands, written in black ms. hand with occasional red highlights. Pagination: v. 1: [200] leaves; v. 2: [258] leaves. John Carter Brown Library copy has leaves in volume 1 numbered 1-200 in pencil in upper right hand corner; leaves in volume 2 are misnumbered 159-416].

John Carter Brown Library copy imperfect: caption title page leaf and leaves [2-35] of vol. 1 are frayed and wanting large parts of foredge of text block; title page torn and frayed affecting text. Many other leaves throughout volumes 1 and 2 are brittle and torn, affecting text. General state of codex is poor with many leaves stained, frayed, or otherwise impaired.
