Notes: Grammar in Spanish with Aymara examples includes a list of over 50 terms for consanguineous, affinal, and spiritual kinship and concludes with an index (leaves 1-52, 1st count). Also contains vocabularies and religious texts: “Vocabulario breve aymara de los vocablos mas comunes de que ordinariamente usamos” (leaves [1-21], 2nd count), listing approximately 1500 terms in Spanish with Aymara equivalents, printed in double columns; “Confessionario breve en Aymara” (leaves 1-11, 11-12r, 3rd and 4th counts); “Orden de celebrar el matrimonio y velaciones”, primarily in Aymara with some Spanish and Latin (leaves 13-14, 4th count); “Breve vocabulario que comiença por la Aymara, al contrario del passado” (leaf [1] recto, 5th count), listing approximately 1000 terms in Aymara with Spanish equivalents, printed in double columns; “Letania de N. Señora en lengua Aymara” and “Acto de contricion en lengua Aymara” (leaves [1] verso-[2], 6th count). There are two Lima, 1616 versions of this work, differing in signatures and foliation, that have been confused with one another. Unlike the other (JCB B616/ T689a1) this version is not issued with the “Catecismo en la lengua española y aymara del Piru” (a reprint of the Seville, 1604 edition) found in the other version.
