Rigobert Bonne, “Carte du Pérou,”  Paris, [ca. 1771].

Perhaps included in Bonne’s Atlas modern ou Collection de cartes sur toutes les parties du globe terrestre, Paris, 1771, this map is held separately at the JCB. Bonne was one of the most important French cartographers of the eighteenth century, succeeding Jacque Bellin as Royal Cartographer at the Depôt de la Marine, and responsible for maps which were highly regarded for their detail and accuracy.
