BioMed Facilities- Who are we?
BioMed Facilities Planning and Operations consists of the BioMed office, 2 stockrooms, a division event coordinator, a machine shop and a mailroom.
Our BioMed office is your contact for keys, card access, capital requests, LMM room booking, list serv notifications, autoclaves, freezers, building construction updates. Our stockrooms (34 Olive St and 70 Ship St) are full of supplies for your lab and can still be easily ordered through Workday. Our events manager is available for booking events within the Jewelry District for the division. The machine shop is busy in the basement of BioMed with exciting projects. Our mailrooms are processing incoming and outgoing mail within the division.
BioMed- What is new?
BioMed Facilities is evolving and changing! The BioMed FPO office is located in the BioMed Complex in suite 287 and can be reached at ext. 3-2483 and there are a lot of new things happening.
We are working on replacing and creating positions that allow BioMed to be more proactive and to communicate more efficiently.
We are automating the key process, meeting with departments to understand division needs, updating the website, holding facilities huddles, coordinating a stockroom open house. We are doing a lot and we are excited about it!
