The Department of Pediatrics at Rhode Island Hospital Hasbro Childrens Hospital, in affiliation with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is seeking a pediatrician to join the Division of General Pediatrics and Community Health. The ideal candidate would qualify for a full time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Research Scholar Track, though candidates will be considered for the Teaching Scholar Track. If hired at the associate professor level, the candidate must have a national reputation and scholarly achievements. Candidates would have the opportunity to collaborate with a successful team of educators and researchers at the School of Public Health at Brown University. The successful candidate will assume clinical, academic, and administrative responsibilities including provision of clinical care and teaching students and residents at Hasbro Childrens Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital. It is expected that at least 50% of incumbents time will be protected time devoted to scholarly activities.

Applicants should hold an MD degree and have board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics. Candidates for this position must have a strong background in clinical primary care pediatrics, excellent qualifications in teaching, an interest in precepting residents and medical students, and an interest in pursuing or continuing an independent research career.
