The Department of Pediatrics, Hasbro Children’s Hospital at Rhode Island Hospital is seeking applications for a fulltime Board Certified/Board Eligible Adolescent Medicine physician at the Associate or Full Professor Rank at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, contingent on qualifications. Hasbro Children’s Hospital is the only pediatric tertiary care center in Rhode Island. It serves as the primary pediatric teaching faculty for the Alpert Medical School and supports Pediatric, Medicine/Pediatrics and Triple Board residency programs.

The faculty member shall participate in providing optimal patient care to youth for the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, as well as training residents and medical students. The incumbent will assume a leadership role in supervising all of the Division’s clinical programs, including the Eating Disorders Program, medicine/psychiatric inpatient unit, outpatient general adolescent clinic, and a local juvenile detention program . It is expected that approximately 20 percent of the incumbent’s time will be protected time devoted to research/scholarly activities. The candidate must have documented experience in an area of research expertise and have a strong record of outstanding scholarly activities appropriate to his/her prior training and interests. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an established record of leadership, and an ability to participate in departmental, hospital and/or university matters.
