Applicants with outstanding research accomplishments are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor position in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Brown University. Appointments at the senior level require a successful track record of peer-reviewed funding and a national reputation. Strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and advising is expected. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and postdoctoral research experience. Applicants should be physician-scientists focused in disease-specific oncology. The appointee will participate in undergraduate, graduate and/or medical teaching and mentoring. Research space will be provided in a newly-renovated laboratory with modern core facilities for molecular pathology and histology, high content imaging, genomics and proteomics, flow cytometry, analytical chemistry, nanotechnology, and access to Human Tissue Banks. Applicants will collaborate with the Division of Hematology/Oncology, and applicants with funded programs or strong evidence of funding potential will be given the highest priority. Opportunities for collaborative, interdisciplinary research and participation as a mentor in an NIEHS T32 Training Program in Environmental Pathology and the Pathobiology Graduate Program are also available.
