Fulltime faculty member with an interest in inflammation and tissue injury. A PhD and/or MD and two years of postdoctoral experience are required. A background in cell biology and immunology along with an interest in inflammation after inujury, sepsis and shock relevant to surgical critical care are preferred.

Candidates must qualify for an appointment at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (Research) of Surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. For faculty seeking appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, evidence of a sustained high quality research program with external funding and a national reputation is required. Scientists pursuing basic research and/or clinical efforts in inflammation relevant to critical care are encouraged to apply. Research areas of interest to the department include cellular molecular mechanisms of inflammation after injury or surgery.
