The Providence VA Medical Center and the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology are seeking an academic gastroenterologist to join the Department of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The successful candidate will serve as a staff gastroenterologist at the Providence VAMC and a faculty member of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Alpert Medical School. Applicants must demonstrate truly excellent qualifications in clinical care and education and be supportive of research.

Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology is required. Clinical responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology, as well as performance of general endoscopic procedures. Proficiency and experience performing diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures is required. Experience in biliary, and pancreatic disorders and skill in advanced procedures (EUS/ERCP) are preferred. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and an unrestricted medical license. Successful candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English. Applicants must be US citizens; however, non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
